The Journées d'Arras bring together Christians from throughout Europe who work for their own churches and institutions in Christian-Muslim relations. There are meetings held over four days in May or June.  These have taken place every year since 1980. They are ecumenical, and draw together a range of Christians, from church representatives to academics and parish workers. At each meeting participants reflect together on an agreed theme, usually with the help of local experts, and also exchange news and experiences from their own countries and districts. The name derives from Arras in north-eastern France, where the meeting was held for the first few years. Les Journées d'Arras rassemblent les chrétiens de l'ensemble de l'Europe qui travaillent pour leurs propres églises et établissements dans des relations entre Chrétiens et Musulmans. Depuis 1980, ils se réunissent chaque année pendant quatre jours en mai ou juin. Ils sont oecuméniques, et réunissent des chrétiens qui sont, représentants d'église, des universitaires et des ouvriers de paroisse. Lors de chaque réunion, les participants réfléchissent ensemble sur un thème convenu, habituellement avec l'aide des experts locaux. Ils échangent également des nouvelles et des expériences de leurs propres pays. Le nom dérive d'Arras, en France, où la réunion a été tenue pendant les premières années. Nous visitons maintenant un pays différent chaque année, et nous sommes réuni récemment à Birmingham, Munster, Sigtuna, Istanbul...
